The Emergency Guidelines for Schools (EGS) is a document with recommended procedures to provide basic first aid to students in the absence of a nurse. Parents may also find this information useful in the case of a home emergency. The colored flow chart below shows how EGS guides the user through all the steps and symptoms of an injury or illness from beginning to end. It is important that anyone using the EMG recognize that this manual is NOT meant as a substitute for seeking the advice of a medical professional or obtaining Emergency Medical Service when needed for an injury or illness.
