Loudonville-Perrysville Board of Education Appoints
Catherine M. Puster Superintendent/CEO
The Loudonville-Perrysville Board of Education has selected Catherine M. Puster as the district’s next Superintendent and Chief Executive Officer.
Puster, currently the district’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, will assume her new position on August 1. Her contract is for three years (August 1, 2017 – July 31, 2020). She will replace John Miller who has served the district as its Superintendent for 18 years.
“I am honored to be selected to serve the district as its new superintendent,” Puster said. “I look forward to working with the Board of Education, parents, staff, and students. Increasing student achievement will continue to be my main focus."
David Hunter, President of the L-P Board of Education stated that Puster was chosen from a field of 27 applicants. “Catherine’s broad experience as a teacher, building-level administrator and central office administrator in several school districts made her an outstanding candidate,” Hunter said.
Puster is currently completing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Ashland University. She earned her Superintendent’s license from Ashland University, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Baldwin-Wallace, and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education (Mathematics) from the University of Akron.
Her administrative and teaching experience includes: Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District, Loudonville, Ohio; Director of Curriculum and Instructional Planning, Edison Local School District, Milan, Ohio; Curriculum Consultant, Triway Local Schools and Green Local Schools, Wayne County, Ohio; Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, Brooklyn High School, Brooklyn, Ohio; Mathematics Teacher, Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, Broadview Heights, Ohio; and Mathematics Teacher, Fremont Middle School, Fremont, Ohio.
