FLIR Infrared Camera Technology

LHS is proud to have an exciting piece of new equipment - a FLIR infrared camera. Used to take thermal images, the camera's indicator displays non-contact accurate spot temperature measurements which can be used for diagnostic purposes. This technology can be used with both iPads and iPhones. Although the camera is currently being used in the Robotics lab, other areas of use throughout the science department are being explored.

The still photos above and below are from FLIR video. In realtime, FLIR video will be helpful in recognizing temperature curves within the robotic mechanisms.
