Occasionally, there may be times when your child needs to deviate from their normal end-of-the-day dismissal routine. Perhaps they need to ride a different bus to grandma's house, go home with a relative or friend, or be a walker.
Mrs. Baker's class presented a play to first and second graders explaining how Thanksgiving became a national holiday.

By contributing their spare change, McMullen students raised over $1000 in the annual Mohican Area Community Fund Every Penny Counts Campaign! According to coordinator Wende Lance, over $2000 was raised by students across the district to benefit area charities and nonprofit organizations. Good job McMullen students for raising HALF of the amount collected!
Kindergarten students visited the Loudonville Fire Department and learned important information about fire safety. They also had some fun sitting in a fire truck and trying on fire gear.
Earlier this year, the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) visited McMullen School and presented the program, The Incredible Human Machine. Students learned how good nutrition and exercise keep a body healthy. They also had a chance to explore the digestive, nervous and circulatory systems during hands-on activity sessions. Congratulations to first grader Garret whose art piece has been selected to be displayed as part of the Ashland County Visual Showcase! His piece titled, "Birdhouse," was selected by University Hospitals/Samaritan Medical Center to be displayed for one year to be followed by a year of display at McMullen School before being returned to Garret to keep.
Ohio's Third Grade Reading Guarantee (TGRG) is a program to identify students in grades K-3 that are behind in their reading skills. It also ensures every struggling reader gets the support he or she needs to be able to learn and achieve.
