Welcome to the web page of R. F. McMullen Elementary School! We are the education center for grades Kindergarten through Third Grade in the Loudonville-Perrysville School District. We serve about 320 students. We also house two Ashland County preschool classes who serve about 48 future McMullen Redbirds. At McMullen, our motto is TEAMWORK! The McMullen School community encompasses everyone who touches our children’s lives. We value and celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of each person in order to build a community of self-confident, lifelong learners who are empowered to reach their full potential.
McMullen Elementary School offers challenging academic classes in a safe, friendly learning environment. We are a school where staff, parents, and students have established high expectations for learning with a strong emphasis on a standard's based curriculum. As a learning community we focus on each student. During these early elementary school years, our students focus on building a strong foundation in the core subjects – reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Because we know that art, music, physical education, and library media skills play a vital role in a child’s development, we also offer these classes. In addition, our teachers design lessons where technology is incorporated into the classroom.
We believe strong family partnerships are a key element to a quality education. We encourage family, friends, and community members to play an active role in our children’s education. We schedule activities for families and students throughout the year. We have musical events, literacy events, and opportunities to partner and volunteer in classrooms and through activities sponsored by McMullen Parents’ Association. We look forward to a wonderful year at McMullen!
WE WORK TOGETHER IN EVERY WAY.
LET’S MAKE MCMULLEN THE BEST EACH DAY!
