L-P Board Policy Regarding Career Advising

Career Connections' goal is to have every student prepared for a successful transition to life after high school by creating a link between learning and future career possibilities. Ohio school districts are developing curriculum strategies to provide students opportunities to discover career interests, explore pathways and make plans for their future.

Ohio Means Jobs was created by the State of Ohio as a one-stop shop for career exploration, assessment and job search. Portions of the K-12 Students module will be utilized in grades 6-12 using a school assigned username and password. Among the types of things students will do on the Ohio Means Jobs website (depending on age level) will be exploring career interests, practicing for college and career readiness assessments, learning about occupational training, and building a resume.
