Cooper finished his state run in positive fashion last week at the STATE meet. After coming in seeded 14th in his 50 freestyle, he made the B finals and finished 13th overall, earning him All-Ohio honors. He also moved up one spot in his 100 freestyle and finished 24th overall.

Cooper medaled in the 50 freestyle by finishing 5th and is seeded 14th overall at State. He will also compete in the 100 freestyle where he finished 13th and is seeded 25th overall at State. Cooper also set a personal record at 48.70, which is also a new school record!
The State meet is a Prelim-Final format at Canton McKinley HS. Prelims will be Thursday, 2/26 @ 5pm. Top 16 move to finals on Friday, 2/27 @ 5pm.
Cooper becomes the first LHS Redbird boy to make State in swimming. Cooper's sister, Britney, became the first LHS Redbird girl to make State in swimming 7 years ago!
