Meet Grayson, a rising 8th-grade student at LHS and an active member of Golf, Soccer, Basketball, Track and Field, Flag Football, Drama Club, and Hope Squad! Grayson joined Hope Squad to make a real difference in her school and help create a more supportive environment for everyone.

She hopes Hope Squad will help every student at LHS feel accepted, valued, and cared for. On tough days, she finds hope in the love and support of her friends and family. To anyone going through a hard time, she says, “Talk to someone you trust — getting things off your chest can make a big difference, and others can help you through it.”

STATE BOUND 2026! Four Track and Field athletes are headed to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at Ohio State University in Columbus for the State competition. Join us in wishing them luck!

SEND OFF, WEDNESDAY AT 4 PM
Before we hit the road, come celebrate our state-bound athletes! Line the streets, make signs, and bring your Redbird spirit! Athletes will be leaving the field house at 4 p.m., heading down Main Street, turning right at Central Park onto S. Market Street, and out to Trails End before making their way to Columbus. We cannot wait to see you out there!

On Thursday, Cama and Sophie will compete in the high jump (1 p.m.), Braden competes in the pole vaults (2 p.m.), and Kaylinn runs the preliminary race for the 300M hurdles (6:10 p.m.). The competition will wrap up on Friday with the 300M hurdles finals at 5:55 p.m., followed by the 800M race at 6:05 p.m., in which Sophie will compete again.

We are so proud of each of these athletes and the hard work that brought them to this moment. And a very special send-off to our senior, Braden Carr! Go get it, Redbirds! 🏅

We are excited to share that Braden, Cama and Sophie are headed to States! Braden qualified in Pole Vault and Cama and Sophie both qualified in High Jump. In addition to this exciting news, Kaylinn and Josiah will compete in hurdles tomorrow, along with Harrion and Sophie in the 800M, and our 4x400M boys relay team (Collin, Colton, Cooper, Brayson) in regional finals tomorrow with a chance to go to States next week. Say hi to Xanthe, an 8th-grade student at LHS and an active member of Volleyball, Track, Club Volleyball, and Hope Squad! Xanthe joined Hope Squad because she wanted to help those who may be struggling and make a positive difference in her school community.

She hopes Hope Squad will help reduce bullying and create a kinder environment for everyone at LHS. A fun fact about Xanthe? She has seven cats! On tough days, she finds hope through her friend Aria and the support of those around her. Her advice for anyone struggling? “Even on hard days, there is always something that can lift you up. You just have to keep looking for it.”
