In recognition of National Manufacturing Day, we partnered with the Regional Manufacturing Coalition and Ashland Area Economic Development to offer our sophomores an inside look at Barbasol and SJE, Inc. in Ashland.

National Manufacturing Day is an annual event that is dedicated to showcasing modern manufacturing and inspiring the next generation of creators. These tours showed students how manufacturing goes beyond the factory floor, with careers in logistics, sales, accounting, engineering, HR, and more.

Abby’s passion for music education began in high school band and grew while teaching marching band percussion. She’s excited to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom.

Fun fact: Abby has marched with the Rogues Hollow Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps for 5 years and has earned two world championship medals!

Need FAFSA help? On October 21, members of Ashland University’s Financial Aid team will be in the high school cafeteria from 6-7:00 p.m. to guide students & parents through the application process and answer any questions. FAFSA opened Oct. 1, 2025. Be sure to create your account at www.studentaid.gov at least a week before the meeting! If you have questions, call Mr. Lane at (419) 994-4101.

Over the weekend, our transportation staff participated in the Bus Rodeo! George Lee finished 6th out of 50 drivers and is moving on to the state competition later this month in Columbus. We were the only school in Ashland County to send a team!

It's Ohio School Safety Month, and a key part of our school community is School Resource Officer Ben Kick! His role goes far beyond security; he is a daily positive presence in our halls, building strong, trusting relationships with students. From joining a game of dodgeball to simply being available for a conversation, Officer Kick creates an atmosphere where students feel comfortable and supported.

We appreciate his commitment to being a positive role model and a trusted adult for our students!

Loudonville-Perrysville Board of Education regular meetings are typically on the second Monday of the month. This month's meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 13, at 6:00 p.m. in the LHS Cafeteria, located at 421 Campus Ave., Loudonville, Ohio.

Thanks to state and local grants, all Loudonville-Perrysville buses are equipped with exterior cameras this school year. These cameras help protect our students by monitoring traffic violations, particularly drivers who illegally pass stopped buses, and improving safety on the road.
