January is School Board Recognition Month! During last night's meeting, we recognized the service of our Board Members and the critical role they play in the success of our school district. Students wrote letters, created posters, and LHS students painted slates for each member. The Redbird Rhapsody also performed the alma mater! In addition to the Board's recognition, the organizational meeting took place. John Carroll and Judy Briggs were sworn in for another term, and David Hunter was elected president, with John Temple serving as vice president. Thank you for all that you do for our Redbirds!

Congratulations to Maria for being named the Ashland Elks Teen of the Month!

Happy New Year, Redbirds!

The Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District (LPEVSD) recently launched its new Reading and Writing Redbird Club in partnership with the Loudonville Public Library and McMullen Parents Association. K-3 students are invited on the first Wednesday of each month, 3:15 - 4:15 p.m., for literacy-based activities centered around a monthly theme. Activities include an interactive read-aloud, writing to connect with others, reading poetry, singing songs, journaling, playing games and, of course - snack time. The club's first event was a huge success, totaling over 60 students in attendance. The upcoming meeting on January 3, 2024, at the Loudonville Public Library will feature winter and snow-themed activities. Students/Parents may sign up through the library or by contacting Angela Layton, Literacy Coach, at anlayton@lpschools.net.

Some of our students and staff were performing and showcasing their talents at the historic Ohio Theater in Loudonville. ❤️🩶
