We are excited to celebrate members of the Hope Squad! Meet Josiah Hershberger, a senior at LHS and a member of the football, basketball, and track teams, Leo Club, and the Hope Squad! Known for his athleticism and backflips, Josiah joined the Hope Squad to support others and help them live better lives. He’s especially excited about the Squad Shop, a free clothing store to help students in need. His advice is to "surround yourself with good friends who lift you up." 💛

We're celebrating members of the Hope Squad! Meet Maggie Vermilya, a senior at Loudonville High School and a proud member of the Hope Squad, Volleyball, and Leo Club! Maggie joined the Hope Squad to learn how to truly listen and support others. To her, it’s all about showing kindness and being there when someone needs a friend. Her peaceful, thoughtful, and kind nature makes her a natural source of support. Maggie hopes the Hope Squad inspires students to open up and ask for help. Her advice is to "reach out to someone, because you’re never alone." 💛

Keith Lemke has been selected as our next Head Football Coach. A Redbird alumnus, collegiate football player, and dedicated coach, Keith brings a deep understanding of the game and a strong commitment to student growth. He currently teaches social studies at LHS and has served as an Assistant Football Coach since 2017. His leadership, experience, and passion for Redbird athletics make him an outstanding choice to lead our program.
Seth Youngen will step into the role of Head Boys Soccer Coach. After serving as Assistant Coach in 2023, Seth already has strong connections with the team and a comprehensive coaching background across all levels of soccer. He teaches mathematics at LHS and also serves as Junior High Assistant Football Coach, Head Wrestling Coach, and LHS Assistant Track Coach. His dedication to multi-sport development and student success will continue to strengthen our athletic programs.
Jen Johnson has been named our next Varsity Volleyball Coach. A proud Redbird alumna and member of the 1997 State Runner-Up volleyball team, Jen brings extensive knowledge and firsthand experience to the role. As the district nurse, she offers a unique perspective and has built meaningful relationships with students and families throughout the district. Her commitment to student well-being and competitive excellence makes her a tremendous addition to our volleyball program.
All three coaches are parents in our district, deeply invested in our community, and dedicated to building positive relationships with our students. They exemplify professionalism, leadership, and Redbird spirit.
