Big congratulations to Kinsley for earning the title of Assistant Principal for the Day after winning the McMullen Parents Association Carnival raffle! 🎉 Kinsley jumped right into the role by helping with morning announcements, participating in classroom check-ins, and assisting during lunch duty. She did an outstanding job showing leadership, responsibility, and school spirit throughout the day! Thank you to the McMullen Parents Association for creating such a fun opportunity for our students. We loved having Kinsley as part of the leadership team today!

🎉 Our McMullen 3rd grade students earned their very own Greek Olympics celebration! After showing outstanding effort and perseverance during state testing, students enjoyed a day filled with fun, teamwork, and friendly competition inspired by the ancient Olympic Games. We are so proud of the hard work, determination, and positive attitudes our students demonstrated throughout testing season. Way to go, 3rd grade — you earned it!

We are proud to recognize our April Redbirds of the Month at McMullen! These outstanding students have consistently demonstrated what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe in our school community.

From showing kindness to classmates, taking ownership of their learning, and making positive choices each day, these students truly represent the best of what it means to be a Redbird.

Our 3rd grade students in Mrs. Spencer’s class had an exciting day exploring STEM learning in a whole new way! 🚀 Using VR headsets, students were able to immerse themselves in interactive experiences, while Ozobots helped bring coding and problem-solving to life in a fun and engaging way. It’s always incredible to see our students thinking critically, collaborating, and embracing new technology! A big thank you to Mrs. Seboe for introducing these innovative tools and creating such a meaningful learning opportunity for our students. Your efforts are making a lasting impact! 💡

What a fantastic performance by our kindergarten students in The Three Little Pigs: A Nursery Rhyme Adventure! 🐷🎶

Our youngest learners truly shined on stage—singing, acting, and bringing so much joy and energy to the performance. It was wonderful to see their hard work come to life and to share such a special moment with our families.

We had a very special leader in the building last week! 🎉 Congratulations to Elsie, who earned the title of Assistant Principal of the Day by raising the most money for our American Heart Association fundraiser! Elsie stepped into her leadership role with confidence and enthusiasm—helping with morning announcements, checking in with teachers, greeting students, and even supervising lunch. She did an outstanding job and showed what it means to lead with kindness and responsibility. We are so proud of you, Elsie! Our McMullen 1st graders stole the show with their adorable and energetic performance of “Bunnies! The Musical”! 🐰🎭 From the catchy songs to the confident smiles, our students truly shined on stage. 🎨 Welcome to the McMullen Museum of Art! 🎨 Our hallways have been transformed into a vibrant gallery showcasing the incredible creativity of our students from Kindergarten through 3rd grade! Each color represents a grade level, and every piece tells a unique story of imagination, effort, and pride. From bold patterns and seasonal scenes to heartfelt drawings and colorful designs, our students continue to inspire us every day. 💫 Take a moment to stop, look closely, and celebrate the talent walking our halls—because at McMullen Elementary, every child is an artist. 🖌️

Our Read-a-Thon winners cashed in their reward in the best way possible this week, by throwing pies at Sergeant Kick and Mr. Brumfield! 🥧😄 With Superintendent Mrs. Allerding cheering them on in a full chicken costume (yes, really 🐔👏), the energy was high and the laughs were nonstop. A special shoutout to McMullen Parents Association Vice President Tyler McCaskey for bravely volunteering for a “demonstration target” and allowing students to observe proper pie-throwing technique. Now THAT’s community involvement! Way to go to all of our readers—you earned every second of this unforgettable celebration! 📚🎉

Our students worked so hard to learn their songs, movements, and lines—and it showed in every moment on stage. We are so proud of their confidence and teamwork! Ahoy, McMullen families! 🏴‍☠️ Our 3rd grade students at McMullen gave an incredible effort on their performance at their music program! 🎶 The students sang, performed, and showed off their musical talents while bringing the adventurous pirate theme to life. From sea shanties to energetic performances, they made it a night to remember! We are so proud of our talented 3rd graders for their hard work and confidence!

📚✨ What a magical way to wrap up Right to Read Week! Students had the chance to visit the Fairy Tale Library, the perfect ending to an incredible week celebrating the joy of reading. From start to finish, this week was filled with fun, creativity, and so many moments that reminded us how powerful books can be in inspiring young minds. A huge thank you and congratulations to Mrs. Pollard and the Right to Read Week Committee for organizing such a fantastic week for our students. Your hard work helped create experiences that will continue to grow our students’ love of reading long after the week is over.

Our Jungle Library adventure continued today with a very special guest swinging by! 🐒📚 We were thrilled to welcome Superintendent Jennifer Allerding as our guest reader! Our students loved listening to the stories and sharing in the excitement of reading together in our jungle-themed library. Moments like this remind us that reading can take us anywhere—from deep in the jungle to brand new worlds of imagination. 🌿🐆 A big thank you to Superintendent Allerding for taking the time to visit, read with our students, and help us celebrate the joy of books. Our jungle library is all about curiosity, adventure, and a love of reading—and today was a perfect example of that!

📚✨ Our Right to Read Week celebration continued with even more opportunities for students to dive into great books! Students had the chance to visit the Space Library, where they explored new stories and enjoyed a fun, out-of-this-world reading environment. 🚀📖 Classrooms also took part in Buddy Reading, giving students the opportunity to partner up, share stories, and build a love of reading together. Seeing older and younger students connect through books was a highlight of the day! ❤️ We love watching our students grow as readers and leaders. Keep turning those pages! 📚
