As we look forward to the warmer months ahead, our students at McMullen have stayed active and engaged when the winter weather has kept us indoors.❄️📚
During library time, students have been utilizing our interactive floor to move, play, and learn all at the same time. From quick reaction games to movement challenges, this innovative space helps students stay energized while building coordination, focus, and teamwork.
We love seeing students excited about reading and staying active—proving that learning happens best when minds and bodies are both moving!

100 days smarter, stronger, and more Redbird proud! ❤️
Happy 100th Day of School!

We are proud to recognize our December Redbirds of the Month! These students were selected by their teachers for consistently demonstrating our school expectations of being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe.
At McMullen, we believe that strong character and positive behavior create the foundation for academic success. The students being honored this month have shown what it means to treat others with kindness, take ownership of their learning, and make safe choices throughout the school day. We are incredibly proud of the way they lead by example.
Congratulations to our December honorees, and thank you to all of our families for reinforcing these important values at home. When we work together, our students truly soar.

🎨✨ We are so proud of our McMullen student artists! Congratulations to our talented winners from the district-wide art show. Your creativity, hard work, and imagination truly shine—way to represent McMullen! 🏆👏

Mrs. Spencer’s class is getting into the holiday spirit this week by building gingerbread houses! 🏠✨ From planning and problem-solving to lots of creativity (and a little frosting “engineering”), our students are showing what learning looks like this season. 🍬🎄

✨ Kindergarten Mathematicians at Work! ✨ This week our kinders used yellow and red counters to explore all the different ways to make 10. By building combinations, checking their thinking, and sharing with partners, they’re laying the foundation for strong number sense and problem-solving skills. We love seeing their confidence grow as they discover that math can be hands-on, creative, and fun! 🔢❤️💛

🐑 Our 3rd graders had an amazing time on their field trip to Ayers Farm this week! From learning about farm animals and crops to exploring where our food comes from, students got a hands-on experience they won’t forget. A big thank you to Ayers Farm for welcoming us and to our parent volunteers for making this day possible! 🍎🚜🐄

💰🛍️ Entrepreneurs in the making! Last Friday, Mrs. Vaughan’s 2nd and 3rd grade students took charge of the Budd Store—and they crushed it! They helped managed money, helped students shop, and stocked the store. These young leaders showed off some serious skills. Way to go, Budd Store crew!

Mrs. Saldana’s 3rd grade students have been hard at work brainstorming and organizing their personal narratives. From special memories to meaningful moments, these young writers are learning how to turn their thoughts into powerful stories. We can’t wait to see their creativity come to life on paper!
