This week, we had the joy of welcoming guest readers Mrs. Allerding, Mrs. Layton (as Rita Reader), Officer McLellan and Captain Gorrell as well as a special visit from an illustrator Linda McFarlin as part of our Right to Read Week celebrations! 🎉
Our students were captivated by the stories, inspired by the artwork, and reminded of the power of reading. A huge thank you to our guest readers for sharing their time and love of literacy, and to our visiting illustrator for bringing stories to life through art! 🖌️📖
Moments like these ignite a passion for reading and creativity in our students, and we are so grateful for our amazing McMullen community! 💙

Our school has been transformed into a literacy-rich environment to celebrate Right to Read Week! From cozy reading corners to an engaging book walk, student book recommendations, and helpful literacy tips, every space is designed to spark a love for reading.
Seeing our students immerse themselves in books, explore new stories, and share their favorite reads has been truly inspiring! 💙 Thank you to our Right to Read Week Committee, staff, students, McPA and families for making this week so special.

Our students had an exciting time at the Whiz Bang Science show, where they explored the states of matter through hands-on experiments and mind-blowing demonstrations! 💨💧🧊
This amazing experience was a PBIS reward for students consistently demonstrating what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe at school. 🎉👏

❄️🎉 Literacy and creativity combined! Students working with Mrs. Shehy used expressive nonsense words to "build" their own snowmen during literacy groups. These imaginative learners are having fun while strengthening their language skills. Let it snow with words!
