Master Facilities Plan Update
As we drive to our next destination, it's important to remember our children's safety. A school bus with its stop arm extended is a sign to stop our vehicle - because the lives of our children depend on it. In Ohio, it is mandatory to stop driving from either direction until the students have safely crossed the road and the school bus lights have stopped flashing. The yellow flashing lights indicate that you need to slow down and prepare to make a complete stop. When the red light starts flashing, your vehicle must come to a complete stop, even if the "stop sign" arm is not extended on the bus. When a highway is divided into four or more traffic lanes, a driver does not need to stop for a school bus approaching from the opposite direction. Let's be a role model on the road. Our vigilance and patience ensure our children's safety and teach them the importance of following traffic laws. Remember, it only takes a moment to save a life.
