Our 3rd grade students at McMullen gave an incredible effort on their performance at their music program! 🎶 The students sang, performed, and showed off their musical talents while bringing the adventurous pirate theme to life. From sea shanties to energetic performances, they made it a night to remember!

📚✨ What a magical way to wrap up Right to Read Week!
Students had the chance to visit the Fairy Tale Library, the perfect ending to an incredible week celebrating the joy of reading. From start to finish, this week was filled with fun, creativity, and so many moments that reminded us how powerful books can be in inspiring young minds.
A huge thank you and congratulations to Mrs. Pollard and the Right to Read Week Committee for organizing such a fantastic week for our students. Your hard work helped create experiences that will continue to grow our students’ love of reading long after the week is over.
Our Jungle Library adventure continued today with a very special guest swinging by! 🐒📚
We were thrilled to welcome Superintendent Jennifer Allerding as our guest reader! Our students loved listening to the stories and sharing in the excitement of reading together in our jungle-themed library. Moments like this remind us that reading can take us anywhere—from deep in the jungle to brand new worlds of imagination. 🌿🐆
A big thank you to Superintendent Allerding for taking the time to visit, read with our students, and help us celebrate the joy of books. Our jungle library is all about curiosity, adventure, and a love of reading—and today was a perfect example of that!
📚✨ Our Right to Read Week celebration continued with even more opportunities for students to dive into great books!
Students had the chance to visit the Space Library, where they explored new stories and enjoyed a fun, out-of-this-world reading environment. 🚀📖
Classrooms also took part in Buddy Reading, giving students the opportunity to partner up, share stories, and build a love of reading together. Seeing older and younger students connect through books was a highlight of the day! ❤️

What an exciting start to our Right to Read Week at McMullen! This year’s theme, “Reading Can Take You Anywhere,” reminds us that books open doors to endless possibilities — from new careers and adventures to places all around the world. 🌍✈️
We were honored to welcome two incredible guest readers who showed our students just how far reading can take you:

• Sargent Kick of the Loudonville Police Department
Our students loved hearing their stories and seeing community leaders share their passion for reading. It was a powerful reminder that strong readers grow into strong leaders! 💙

As we look forward to the warmer months ahead, our students at McMullen have stayed active and engaged when the winter weather has kept us indoors.❄️📚
During library time, students have been utilizing our interactive floor to move, play, and learn all at the same time. From quick reaction games to movement challenges, this innovative space helps students stay energized while building coordination, focus, and teamwork.
We love seeing students excited about reading and staying active—proving that learning happens best when minds and bodies are both moving!

Mrs. Spencer’s class is getting into the holiday spirit this week by building gingerbread houses! 🏠✨ From planning and problem-solving to lots of creativity (and a little frosting “engineering”), our students are showing what learning looks like this season. 🍬🎄
✨ Kindergarten Mathematicians at Work! ✨ This week our kinders used yellow and red counters to explore all the different ways to make 10. By building combinations, checking their thinking, and sharing with partners, they’re laying the foundation for strong number sense and problem-solving skills. We love seeing their confidence grow as they discover that math can be hands-on, creative, and fun! 🔢❤️💛
