📅 November Important Dates at McMullen Elementary! 🍂
Mark your calendars! Here are some key dates coming up this month:

🎃🎉 Halloween Fun at McMullen! 🎉🎃
What a fantastic day we had celebrating Halloween with our annual Parade and Party! The halls of McMullen were filled with creative costumes, smiles, and spooky spirit as students and staff joined in the festivities. Thank you to all the families who helped make this day special – from costumes to party treats, we couldn’t have done it without you!
These moments create memories and bring our school community closer together. Happy Halloween, McMullen! 🧡

🎃 Pumpkin Painting Fun at McMullen Elementary! 🎃
Our students had a blast painting pumpkins as a special PBIS reward for October! A huge THANK YOU goes out to our amazing McMullen PBIS committee and all the dedicated volunteers who helped make this event possible. McMullen Parents Association stepped up huge by securing and delivering pumpkins. All of your support made the day a memorable one for our kids. We’re so grateful for our incredible school community!

📝 Our talented 3rd grade writers in Mrs. Saldana's class are getting into the Halloween spirit! This week, they used their creativity to produce opinion writing pieces. Students crafted compelling opinion pieces about their favorite Halloween costumes. These young authors are mastering the art of supporting their opinions with strong reasons! 🎃

🌟📚 Our 3rd graders in Mrs. Stitzlein's class are taking learning to the next level! During enrichment time, they’ve been hard at work researching projects and presenting their amazing findings using Canva! Bristol researched and presented on Mt. St. Helen's this week!🎨💻
We’re so proud of their creativity and the way they’re embracing new tools to showcase their knowledge. Way to go, 3rd grade Redbirds! 👏✨

Please see the attached invitation to Community Fun Day on Saturday, October 19th! This fun-filled event is a great opportunity for students, families, and staff to come together and enjoy a day of activities, games, and entertainment.

🎉🏅 Congratulations to our September Redbirds of the Month at McMullen Elementary! 🏅🎉
These outstanding students have shown exceptional character, hard work, and a positive attitude both in and out of the classroom. We are so proud of their dedication and leadership! 🦅✨
Way to go, Redbirds! Keep soaring high! 💪❤️

🎃🧙♀️ Get ready for a spooktacular twist on Hot Potato—it's Broomstick! 🧹🎶
Here’s how it works: Players pass a "broomstick" (actually a boomwhacker!) around the circle while the music plays. When the music stops, whoever's holding the broomstick is out and heads to the "cauldron" in the center! Students kept going until they were down to the final two witches or wizards! 🧙♂️✨
It’s a fun way to incorporate movement into music class and get the Halloween spirit flying! 🎃🧡

🎉 Math in Action with Mrs. Baker’s Class! 🎉
Last week, Mrs. Baker’s students dove into one of the Interactive Tutorial videos for their iReady math lesson, and they were on fire! 🔥 Students took turns stepping up to answer questions while the rest of the class cheered them on like true math champions. The energy and teamwork were incredible!
We are so proud of our young mathematicians for their hard work and enthusiasm. Keep it up, future problem-solvers! 🧮✨
