📏✨ Exploring Measurement Magic! 📏✨
Students in Ms. Hauger's class have been on an exciting journey into the world of measurement, where they've discovered that you don't always need a ruler to measure length! Using their creativity and imagination, they've been using the non-standard unit of yarn to compare the length of classmates.
Through this hands-on experience, our students have not only strengthened their understanding of measurement but also learned to think outside the box. They've realized that there are multiple ways to measure the same object and that precision and accuracy are key.
Students worked as a team to measure and hung their yarn in the hallway to show their understanding of comparing lengths! Join us in celebrating their measurement adventures and encourage them to keep exploring the world around them with curiosity and wonder. 🌟 #MeasurementMagic #HandsOnLearning #CreativeThinking

🌟This week students in Mrs. Saldana's room read a poem about a girl who likes to daydream called "Narcissa." Students were challenged to use their Lego kits to "build a model to represent" (BAMTR) something they have daydreamed about. Students had 30 minutes to build and then did a 10 minute quick write about their build. Great job Redbirds!!! 🎓🚀

We had some exciting learning happening in Mrs. Pollard's classroom after school: Our first Tech Thursday! 💻McMullen Staff shared how they are currently using technology well, explored the Read&Write Chrome extension to see how it could potentially be used in their classrooms, and discussed what they'd like to learn about technology at future sessions to best serve our Redbird learners! Great job McMullen Staff!!! 🎉

"🚪📐 Engaging students with hands-on learning! Students in Mrs. Stitzlein's class used a door to teach perimeter. By measuring the length and width, students calculated the total distance around the door. Learning made fun and practical! #MathIsFun #HandsOnLearning #TeacherLife"

"✈️ Dive into aviation history with our latest project! 🛩️ Our students in Mrs. Saldana's class have been busy creating timeline diagrams spotlighting the incredible journey of the Wright Brothers. From their first flight in 1903 to revolutionizing air travel, these diagrams showcase the milestones that shaped modern aviation! #WrightBrothers #AviationHistory #StudentProjects"

🔍💦✏️ Exploring Water's Wonders: Pencil & Water Molecule Magic! ✏️💦🔬 Science enthusiasts in Mrs. Stitzlein's class explored the amazing properties of water. 💧✨ This cool experiment taught students the cohesive forces that make water so fascinating! 🚀🔍 🌊 The Show Begins: Students gently poked a sharpened pencil through one side of the bag. As they pushed the pencils through the bag they witnessed the pencil seamlessly go through both sides without any water leakage! 😱🚫💦 🧠 Science Unveiled: Scholars learned that the cohesive forces between water molecules are like superhero capes protecting their experiment from spills. 🧲 Water's polarity - positive and negative ends - helps it stick together (cohesion) and to other surfaces (adhesion). 🎉🔬✨ Cheers to Our Brilliant Young Scientists for sharing this lesson!
